                                                            COVID 19 UPDATE/ SEASON UPDATE

Dear Baseball Families,

With the news of the State’s phase plans, the NJBL is continuing to work towards a Spring/Summer season for each of our leagues. Phase 2 allows practices after June 8 and phase 3 allows games after June 29. We know these dates rely on continued improved numbers across the state.

The NJBL is communicating with State officials, Town officials, Town BOH and we are reaching out to other leagues (AAU and National) for our own Covid Practices and Covid Game Day protocols. We will share that info very soon as we want to make sure we thoroughly go over everything.

Since our leagues games would run from June 29 thru July 31, we are asking our baseball families if they are still planning on participating. We truly appreciate your patience as we continued to push out the season.

We would like a head count (and plan on opening registrations for new players) so we can figure out current teams/rosters for each of our leagues.

If you could send an email to [email protected] with a response: (and please include your child’s league in subject)

 1) Will participate

2) Carry-over 2020 registration to Spring 2021

3) Reimburse for Spring 2020

For those baseball families that continue with us this summer, we will provide information weekly, leading up to your child’s first practice.

For those baseball families that we will see in Spring 2021, we wish you the very best and look forward to your return.

Warmest Regards,

 NJBL-BOD

                                                            COVID 19 UPDATE

 Dear Families,

We hope everyone continues to feel well and cope with this unique once in a lifetime circumstance regarding the global Coronavirus pandemic.

With the governor’s decision to keep schools closed for the remainder of the year, our Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth spring season continues to be on hold. The next update from NJBL will be prior to Memorial Day.

The NJBL stresses health and safety for all of our baseball community. We continue to hope for a season to help our community get back to a normal way of life, for our kids to “play” together, and to have fun with each other.

While we wait for this day to come, please continue to follow the guidelines in place, stay healthy, complete the school work assigned and enjoy the precious time we are all spending with our families.

The NJBL Board of Directors will continue to communicate with town officials and we will keep you updated when we have a plan in place. We wish all our families the best during this unfortunate time in history.

Warmest Regards,

 NJBL-BOD

                                                            COVID 19 UPDATE

Dear Families,

We hope everyone feels well and are coping with this unique once in a lifetime circumstance regarding the global Coronavirus pandemic.

We know families and especially children are wondering if Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Baseball will play this season given the severity of the current situation we are facing as a nation?

At this time, we have not been given a date from Cal Ripken as a potential start date for leagues to begin operations. The NJBL will follow guidelines and restrictions set by the Town of Northbridge and will reassess a start date following May 4, 2020.

Whatever date Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Baseball decides that it is safe to start a program, whether in the late Spring, early Summer or even Fall, we want to make our message loud and clear to all of our NJBL families, there WILL BE Baseball in 2020!!!!

Losing a year of Little League Baseball and all that it offers our children from learning and teaching life lessons, developing friendships, understanding sportsmanship and having a fun filled experience in our leagues eyes is not an option! While we have several ideas in mind to operate the program, our message is the same no matter what option is chosen, THERE WILL BE BASEBALL IN 2020!!!

While we wait for that day to come, NJBL stresses to all families to follow the guidelines in place, stay healthy, complete the school work assigned and enjoy the precious time we are all spending with our families.

Soon enough there will be NJBL Baseball for all! We will keep you updated when we have a plan in place and wish all our families the best during this unfortunate time in history.

Warmest Regards,

 NJBL-BOD
