On April 20, 2024, the Northbridge Junior Baseball League will have the honor of officially naming the road field, Rob Fraser Field.
To put it simply, Rob Fraser was a baseball guy. Aside from coaching, Rob was a long time member of the Northbridge Junior Baseball League, sitting in almost all positions on the Board from 2003-2018. Rob’s dedication to the league was reflected in his efforts and accomplishments throughout his tenure. Some of his accomplishments include the erection of the Snack Shack and the expansion of the Ripken fields. In 2020, Rob posthumously received the Ebbett Award, for his contributions to youth sports and beyond. For those that don’t know, the Ebbett Award is named after Fred Ebbett, one of the founding fathers of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association. Rob believed that there was no quitting when it came to the league and the benefit of its players. He was there for the kids, plain and simple.
Please join us for a small ceremony with Rob’s family and friends to help honor his dedication to the sport and his community. April 20, 1:15pm, Road Field @ the Legion Complex
